About the Red Bush Apple:
The Red Bush Apple is a small under-storey tree native to open forests and woodland of northern Australia. The tree or shrub typically grows to a height of 4 to 20 metres. Its fibrous white flesh is tinged with purple-red hues and is sweet to the taste. Each fruit contains brown seeds, 2cm long. Bush apples are mostly used fresh. This outback flavour creates a uniquely Australian flavour sensation.
