Animalia Kangaroo

Nothing says Australia more than me – the Kangaroo. The word Kangaroo derives from ‘Gangurru’, the name given to the Eastern Grey Kangaroo by the Guuga Yimithirr people of Far North Queensland.

We are of cultural and spiritual significance to Aboriginals Australia wide and are famous for our means of locomotion: hopping! We can reach speeds of 60 kph, clearing more than 8 metres with a single hop!
