Gumbi Gumbi Powder

GUMBI GUMBI: Pittosporum Phylliraeoides is often referred to as a Native Apricot and grows to around 3-4 metres high typically with dark green foliage. Gumbi Gumbi can be found in many areas of Australia including New South Wales, Queensland and Northern Territory. 

Gumbi Gumbi is an important plant for Indigenous Australians and extensively used for its medicinal, culinary and cultural purposes. Its sweet smell and pleasant taste make it an ideal ingredient for many dishes, while its antiseptic and antibacterial properties can help with healing. Although the leaves can be eaten raw or cooked, the fruit itself is not consumed and is considered poisonous.
